Lori Pfeiffer

Creative Writing Director

Lori Rohlk Pfeiffer brings twenty year's worth of writing and editing experience to her work. With a broad background in public relations, scholarly writing, creative writing and journalism, she has a knack for news, a sense of story, and the patience to polish prose to a perfect gloss. She is completing her MFA in creative writing at Arizona State University.

Her nonfiction books include The Insiders' Guide to Phoenix and she's had essays published in Mamaphonic and Creative Nonfiction. She has published more than a thousand articles in publications like Working Woman, America West Airlines Magazine, Black Enterprise, The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Business Journal, PHOENIX Magazine, Arizona Highways, Incentive Magazine and more.

Her on-line marketing experience includes designing a women's website that won national accolades, including a write-up in Folio. As an account manager for one of the first companies that created on-line catalogs, she worked with Mystic Color Labs, Fisher Scientific, Johnston & Murphy Shoes, MapQuest and the Association of Business Product Manufacturers (ABPM). Her public relations clients have included the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, the Mayo Clinic-Scottsdale, The Center for Great Plains Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and South Mountain Community College.

She's taught writing at Phoenix College and Arizona State University and currently coaches authors working on fiction and nonfiction books.
